Jocelyn Hagen’s Work for From Silenced to Singing is Complete!

We’re thrilled to announce that Jocelyn Hagen’s piece, Here I Am, is complete! Commissioned for the True Concord 2020-21 Season, Here I Am was created in honor and appreciation of influential women across the globe.

You may already be familiar with Jocelyn’s work from the True Concord’s 2019 Arizona premiere of The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci for choir, orchestra and video projections. We loved performing The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci and reached out to Jocelyn to commission a new work celebrating the strength and beauty behind the voices of women around the world.

Not only will this be a stirring and powerful piece for choir, orchestra, soprano soloist Susanna Phillips, the Tucson Girls Chorus and narrators, it will be a multimedia experience as well: Jocelyn has commissioned 47 paintings of inspiring women, created by women artists around the world, for this project. The paintings will be projected above the ensemble in performance. This unique work of art is not to be missed!

Bring your loved ones to celebrate women across the globe this January at From Silenced to Singing!
