A Look Inside Our Recording Sessions with Jocelyn Hagen!

We’re thrilled to share a glimpse into our recording sessions of Jocelyn Hagen’s groundbreaking multimedia symphonies, Here I Am and The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci.

Here I Am, commissioned by True Concord to celebrate the anniversary of U.S. Women’s Suffrage, is a powerful work that celebrates female empowerment through the words of 42 notable women throughout history. The piece, which True Concord commissioned and premiered in 2023, features the stunning vocals of acclaimed soprano Susanna Phillips alongside the talented Tucson Girls Chorus. The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci takes us back to the Renaissance, where orchestra and vocalists weave a tapestry of brilliance inspired by the life and genius of this iconic figure.

Recording these captivating works is a vital part of True Concord’s artistic initiatives. It allows us to share the power of exceptional music with a wider audience and preserve these important pieces for future generations to enjoy. Witnessing the dedication and artistry of Jocelyn Hagen, Susanna Phillips, the Tucson Girls Chorus, and our own orchestra and vocalists during these recording sessions is a true testament to the magic that happens when passionate musicians come together.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting recording project! We can’t wait for you to experience the beauty and power of Jocelyn Hagen’s music in a whole new way.
