Our professional artists travel from all over the country to perform with True Concord Voices & Orchestra. While they are in Tucson, they are housed with local families. You are their home away from home! Typically, they arrive Monday of the performance week and depart Sunday after the final performance. This volunteer opportunity requires a private bedroom and bathroom.

We use volunteer drivers to pick up artists arriving at Tucson International Airport. You are the Welcome and Farewell face of True Concord and Tucson! After pick-up, volunteers deliver artists to their first rehearsal or to their host’s home.

This volunteer opportunity helps us to dramatically reduce our rental car costs. If you have a vehicle that is in good running order and you can spare it for a week (Monday through Sunday) we would love to borrow it. During a performance week, artists travel back and forth from rehearsals and performances. Normally, they travel 4 to a vehicle and route themselves to reduce mileage. Please note, we do have one performance in each concert cycle where artists will travel one time back and forth to Green Valley.

Ushers arrive 90 minutes prior to the start of a concert. You will be briefed by the House Manager on the responsibilities for that performance. You will assist in stuffing and preparing programs, seating patrons and answering questions. AND, you get to enjoy the performance!
